Opportunities

Undergraduate Students:
Undergraduate students frequently work with our research group on topics ranging from atmospheric chemistry to regional climate. There are several programs for University of Michigan students, including the Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP), the Student Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) and the Marian Sarah Parker Scholars Program. If you are from another university and interested in summer research program, CLaSP sponsors a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program called PICASSO (Program in Climate and Space Observations) – Applications are due at the end of January. Please contact us if you are interested in getting involved in research as an undergraduate.

Graduate Students:
The atmospheric science Ph.D. program at the University of Michigan offers a wide variety of courses and research directions, including atmospheric dynamics, atmospheric physics and atmospheric chemistry. CLaSP graduate students are typically supported as a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) and funded by a faculty advisor. As a result, the admissions committee will match prospective students with a faculty sponsor and try to find the right fit between the student and advisor. If you are planning to apply to CLaSP, please contact me to discuss potential projects and research interests.

Postdoctoral Research:
I currently do not have any postdoctoral positions available in my research group. However, please contact me if you are interested to discuss potential projects.
